FAQ / Prices

Does The Type Of Urethane Used Matter?

With new and improved  types of urethane on the market, it really does matter what type of urethane you use.  A two-component water-base, (Traffic from Bona) will offer you the most wear resistance and protect against UV damage from the sun.

How Long Does It Take?

It depends on the size of the room or home.  Refinishing could take a minimum of 1 (1/2) days for a small room, 4 to 5 days for several rooms or a couple of weeks for larger projects.   My estimates always show how long the job will take.

Can I just have my floors buffed and coated, not sanded?

Yes you can, but you take the risk that the new urethane applied will not adhere to the urethane that is already on the floor.  Some cleaners can create a barrier between the old and new urethane. This will cause your new finish to scratch easily and maybe peel.
